Djokovic defeated Carlos Alcaraz (7-6 (7-3), 7-6 (7-2)) to avenge his loss at Wimbledon a few weeks earlier and become the oldest men’s tennis champion in Olympics history, at age 37. He showcased his resilience throughout the match, saving eight break points in an epic first set, and winning both sets in a tie-breaker.

The victory further cements Djokovic’s legacy as the game’s greatest of all time, boasting 24 Grand Slam titles and now an Olympic gold medal.
