With exactly 50 days remaining until the Summer Olympics, host city Paris unveiled a 95-foot display of the iconic Olympic rings on its most prominent landmark, the Eiffel Tower. It took 4 cranes and 30 workers to hoist and install the massive display.
The project highlights the city’s preparations and enthusiasm for the upcoming games. The Eiffel Tower will be a focal point of the festivities and serve as a central hub during the Olympics. Additionally, pieces of steel from the Eiffel Tower have been incorporated into the design of the Paris 2024 medals.
The Olympics will kick off July 26th and run through August 11th. This will be the 6th Olympic Games hosted by France, and their first since the 1992 Winter Games.
